Hello, my name is Lila

My passion for learning through the physical body started young as I experimented through soccer, swim teams, different forms of dance, gymnastics, and by discovering yoga asana at around 16 years old. Along the way, movement became an important emotional outlet for me and I learned how to use bodywork to heal from injuries, pain, and imbalances in my body. In 2016 I began more intentionally recovering from childhood Complex PTSD (CPTSD) which had caused me to have addictions, disorganized attachment, and many other manifestations of trauma—through that journey bodywork has become an essential tool in my own healing and the experiences from my past drive a lot of the work I do today.

I was born just outside of London (England) with extrasensory perception that caused me to perceive the world differently by reading frequencies and patterns that don’t translate through physical dimensions. This looked like giving up eating animals at 4 years old because of feeling the experience of an animal before slaughter, reading potential future timelines, and sensing earth bound spirits around the village I lived in, but also more subtly gave me an ability to read people on a deep level and understand how different medicines would meet different needs. Although my love of science remains foundational to my spiritual connections, intuitive guidance ultimately drives the way I operate in my work. I first became interested in the intersection of trauma and the womb through my own journey in healing from “PCOS” (now more appropriately named PMOS) that was compounded by experiences of childhood sexual abuse (CSA) and chronic stress. The same year I started deep recovery (at age 24) I decided that I didn’t want to continue using birth control to mask the symptoms that my hormones were communicating, which put me on a path of rebalancing my body from hypertestosteronemia holistically. Long before starting my nursing career in 2019, I knew I wanted to take allopathic medicines and blend them with different traditional, eastern, and naturopathic therapies— so although I work primarily with plants and other natural medicines, I also value the use of pharmaceuticals and other modern tools when indicated.

For me, practicing holistically means integrating different physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual medicines to get as close to the root of healing as possible.

I’m a dedicated environmentalist and a huge animal lover, currently living with one rescued dog and two fosters. I became passionate about plant based nutrition after working in a raw vegan restaurant when I was 20—I love to cook and make different recipes with plant medicines. I still move my body through various ways and am always exploring different somatic expressions and natural ecosystems. I also enjoy interior design and sustainable architecture, and traveling to different historical and cultural sites.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Please see my services page for more detail. I help with conditions of the gastrointestinal system, female hormone imbalances, pelvic pain and inflammatory conditions, urinary conditions, prolapse, pain related to musculoskeletal conditions, and others.

  • I have a home office in Marietta, Georgia towards Smyrna. Address is provided after payment and booking. After booking, an email will be sent with intake forms and instructions for how to prepare for our session.

  • I provide an at-home postpartum package, most other services are offered at my home office or virtually. Travel to a client’s home can be offered for an additional fee on a case-by-case basis. Please contact me for more information.

  • Several forms of abdominal massage have been used in indigenous medicine including by Mayan healers who may have been taught these techniques through their dreams. This was the case for Don Elijio Panti who taught Rosita Arvigo (founder of the abdominal therapy collective) in his home of Belize, and also separately for Dona Dominga, a Mayan midwife living near Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. I have had the opportunity to learn with a group of Mayan midwives and healers around Lake Atitlan including being worked on by Dona Dominga herself, which first opened me up to the incredible power of this work. Soon after my visit (in March 2025) I did the ATP 1 and 2 training with the Abdominal Therapy Collective in North Carolina. My bodywork is a blend of learning from different teachers including medicine journeys, supported by my own experiences with bodywork and knowledge of anatomy and physiology, applications from my experiences as a nurse, and intuitive guidance. Some of my techniques are completed self derived and others are applied from various teachings. I will often use forms of guided functional movement to work with specific tissues and joints in addition to the hands on work (think guided yoga asana or stretching/mobility movements). In general, my bodywork is applied in a way that is unique to your needs and does not follow a preset formula.

  • I work with men on a case by case basis, please email me or use the contact form to see if we are a good fit. Having referrals is preferred, currently I don’t work with men on pelvic issues.

  • Like any tool misuse can cause unwanted effects, but pelvic steaming when used appropriately is not dangerous. Proper use of heated steam is important, which is why I would encourage you to work with an experienced person before using steam therapies at home. Please see this article on steaming for more information.

  • My bodywork follows me in my work as a doula, but ultimately the way I support a mother in birth is entirely depending on her unique needs to help her in the journey through labor. This may look like nutritional support, bodywork or rebozo work before and during labor, and providing emotional processing and attunement to help create a container of safety. My support for birthing mothers also carries to the partners and I encourage fathers (or alternative partners) to be present during aspects of our time together. All doula services include one prenatal bodywork session in my home office (with discounted add on services available), plus a postpartum home visit that could include bodywork, steaming, closing of the bones, and integration of the birth experience.

  • I graduated from the UCF School of Nursing with honors in 2019 and have worked in acute hospital settings for 7 years including as a travel nurse and charge nurse across 6 states and 7 different hospital systems. My specialties include progressive care, covid nursing, emergency room, clinical decision units, and I am currently working as a pediatric emergency room nurse. Additional trainings include:

    • Peristeam Hydrotherapy Training through SteamyChick Institute (2023)

    • Whapio the Matrona Holistic Doula Certification (2023)

    • ECornell’s Plant Medicine Certification (2024)

    • YTT 200 with Asheville Yoga Center (2024)

    • Completion Process Certified Practitioner (2025)

    • In-person training with Indigenous Mayan Midwives for abdominal massage in Guatemala (2025)

    • Abdoominal Therapy Collective (ATP 1&2) Certifications (2025)

    • Homebirth Midwifery Apprenticeship (3 months) (2025)

  • Because of my innate capacities as a medial (see explanation in an article here) and the challenges I’ve experienced living with and healing from childhood abuse, I have a very lived and visceral experience working with elements of trauma and the often debilitating effects of living with it. I’m very developed in understanding and working with the complexities of internal fragmentations (i.e inner war zones), relational issues, problems related to a poor sense of self (boundary issues), addictions and compulsions, low self worth, and many other emotional and mental challenges. The outcome of my experiences with Complex PTSD left me coping through dangerous levels of drug and alcohol addiction, suicidality, self-harming dependency, chronic problems with sleep, ADD/ADHD (what I consider to be developmentally-mediated attention dysfunction and sympathetic overdrive in the nervous system), OCD/severe anxiety and panic attacks, anger dysregulation and rage, hypersexuality and general dysfunction in my day to day living due to childhood developmental damage. I have had a long, ongoing recovery journey using a wide list of tools such as DBT, a 10-year meditation practice, emotional releases supported by bodywork and somatic work, shadow-work and different forms of journey work (elements of shamanic tools), parts work, and through working deeply with belief systems. For me, continually learning about psychology and the emotional body is not a hobby, but a form of survival.
